On the great feast of Nativity, Mrs Ulyana Machneva and a few youths performed songs with instruments and voices. There were guitars, metal drums, harps, and more! There were Orthodox and non-Orthodox songs including: God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Jingle Bells, Joy to the World, and more! Some of the youths that were performing were Sasha Ustymenko playing the guitar, Mr. Simeon the sub-deacon playing a drum, Emilia Gregoire playing the cello, Annabelle Gregoire playing the metal drum and singing, and Michael Gregoire playing the melodica, the metal drum, and singing.
First, there was a recording, so that people who couldn't come to the performance could see it. Also, for this special occasion the performers decorated the church with ornaments, a Christmas tree, and lights!
During the recording, we practiced all the songs for the live performance. Below, in the picture, is a photo of the recorded performance.
